Overview
Discover the colorful coral reefs, schools of tropical fish, and marine life of the Mnemba Island marine reserve on this half-day tour. Set sail from Nungwi Beach, look out for wild dolphins as you cruise along the coast, then dive in to swim and snorkel along the Mnemba Island reef. Look out for trumpetfish, manta rays, and Staghorn Coral during your snorkeling tour, then stop by a sandbank to spot starfish on the way back (depending on the tide).

We do pick up from any Hotel/ Accommodation in Zanzibar. Our Drivers and Guides will have all your names, there is no need to print or show your ticket.

What To Expect

Nungwi Beach
This is where we will take Snorkeling equipment, Mask, and Flippers. We will depart exactly at 9:00 am and start with a dolphin tour then after will go to Mnemba reef for snorkeling.

Mnemba
Once we arrive at Mnemba Island reef, Our Instructors will give us a brief overview of the coral reef and instructions about where to snorkel.


For those who do not have good swimming skills, our instructors will provide life jackets and assist them during snorkeling. At Mnemba coral reef you can spot different unique species of fishes such as; Mushroom, Honeycombe, Brain, and Staghorn Coral to name just a few.

Below 30 meters, a vertical wall of reef fish, Trumpetfish, and large Napoleon Wrasse are commonly seen; and rarely can spot Reef sharks, Eagles, and Manta Rays.


Nungwi Beach

After Snorkeling at Mnemba coral reef, we might go to the Sandbank when it is low tide and return back to Nungwi, while on the way back we might stop to see the starfishes when it is low tides.
