The 3 days safari to Queen Elizabeth national park is a well-organized trip that takes you to one of Uganda’s major national parks in the western wing. The journey starts with a pick up from Kampala followed by a drive to the park through lush vegetation, rolling hills, plantations, trading centers and other human settlements. It involves game drives, launch cruise at the magical Kazinga channel plus chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge.

Day 1:
Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth national park
After a
morning breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, our guide / driver will pick you up
and embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey
involves a stopover at the Uganda equator for a pictorial experience at
Kayabwe.
You will
continue driving Kampala – Masaka – Mbarara highway until you make a stopover
at Igongo cultural center in Mbarara. Here you will learn about the history of
the Ankole kingdom – one of Uganda’s great and ancient kingdoms.
You will then
continue to Queen Elizabeth national park via Mbarara – Kasese highway and pass
by Kyamuhunga tea plantations.
Upon arrival,
check in to the lodge of your choice for supper and overnight stay.
Day 2:
Morning game drive and afternoon launch cruise
After an
early morning breakfast, meet your guide and embark on the amazing morning game
drive. The drive will see you through the savannah plains of the park as you
take a glance at the early risers of the park. You cannot fail to see
elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a
variety of birds.
Return to the
lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the
afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise at the magnificent Kazinga channel
which is the water body connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. You will encounter
aquatic animals, water birds and other animal species that converge at the
channel to quench their thirst.
Return to
your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3:
Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Kampala
In the
morning of the last day of your safari, you will have breakfast and check out
of the hotel. You will then meet your guide and drive through the Ishasha
sector for a glance at the tree climbing lions.
Continue for
an optional chimpanzee trekking in the great Kyambura Gorge for a classic chimp
experience.
You will then drive back to Kampala, hence the end of your three day trip to Queen Elizabeth national park.
