itinerary
Day 1: Pick
up and transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park.
After a
morning breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, you will meet our driver / guide
who will lead you on the journey to Murchison falls national park. The journey
takes between 5 and 7 hours.
It involves a
lunch stopover in Masindi town and a visit to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. It is from
here that you will learn about rhinoceros which were at the verge of extinction
back in the days.
Continue to
Murchison falls national park, check in to the lodge of your choice for
relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2:
Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
In order not
to miss the early risers of the park, you will have an early morning breakfast
at about 6:00am. You will meet your guide and head for a wonderful morning game
drive. This gives an opportunity to see the big five animals which are one of
the major attractions of the park. Several bird species such as the shoe bill,
African Darter, Giant Kingfisher, Osprey, Long-toed Plover, to mention but a
few.
Return to
your lodge for relaxation and a delicious lunch.
In the
afternoon, you will go for an amazing afternoon boat cruise which will
introduce you to water lovers of the park such as hippos, crocodiles, water
bucks, buffalos and elephants.
You will
continue and trek to the top of the falls and get to see the world’s strongest
waterfalls and take memorable pictures.
Return to
your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return
to Kampala – departure
After an
early morning breakfast, meet your driver and go for another game drive which
will enable you see several animal and bird species of the park. If you wish,
you can drive to the top of the falls for yet another memorable experience of
the waters as they roar like a hungry lion in the jungle.
You will then continue and drive the Masindi – Kampala highway. Your driver will drop you at either Entebbe international airport or Kampala city depending your choice. Hence the climax of this three days Murchison falls national park safari.
